Alison Clare Baldree is the director of fund development for Shelterhouse.

She received her bachelor’s degree in philosophy, theology and nonprofit leadership from Rockhurst University and recently earned her Certified Fund Raising Executive certification (CFRE). She sees philanthropy as a gentle art of teaching the joy of giving.

Baldree began her career in the social services sector as a volunteer with the Jesuit Volunteer Corps, serving as a case manager at Immaculate Conception Shelter, a homeless shelter for men in Hartford, Connecticut. Throughout her career in philanthropy, she has worked for the American Red Cross, the American Cancer Society, the Girl Scouts, and a few community college foundations.
